A burglar breaks into a house and inadvertently brings to light a married couple’s secrets in this wildly physical farcical comedy where the lights are opposite. So when the lights are ON, they’re actually OFF. And when they’re OFF, they’re actually ON. In one chaotic night, Alan and Sharon must rediscover their identities, from career to sexuality, and come face to face with the reality that their relationship will never be the same.
What Happens in the Dark was part of the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival where we won the StageCrafts Freeway Circuit Award, were nominated for Best Comedic Theater by the Hollywood Fringe community, and raised $500 for the LA LGBT Center.

We are in the process of applying for venues to take What Happens in the Dark to the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. There will also be another performance in Los Angeles to prepare for Edinburgh.
